Personally, I have really been enjoying the series. If you like period pieces, tv dramas, and sci-fi/fantasy shows, I recommend Arthdal Chronicles — it is binge-worthy! This drama differs from many of the Korean dramas I have seen in the past due to its spiritual and primitive components. I relate to the personas characterized as the “other” — the Igutu and Neanderthal minority. The plot depicts an interesting political power struggle between class structures — the religious class, military, underground vigilantes, common people, and the ruling families. Thematically, you will see aspects of the Conquerer vs. the Conquered. The storyline may be hard to follow at first but I have to admit the show can be quite addicting!
FUN FACT: If you have seen the famed Korean drama, Descendants in the Sun (2016), you will see these friendly faces once again, actors Song Joong-ki and Kim Ji-won.
